MANDATORY WATER CONSERVATION NOTICE
Effective as of Sunday June 23, 2024, The City of Margaret Public Works Dept. is implementing the following mandatory water conservation policy until further notice. This policy applies to all customers.
All outdoor water use is to be immediately discontinued except in accordance with the following schedule.
Customers with even-numbered addresses may use outdoor water on Mondays
and Thursdays.
Customers with odd-numbered addresses may use outdoor water on Tuesdays
and Fridays.
NO OUTDOOR USE OF WATER ON WEDNESDAYS, SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS.
Water usage should be limited to 30 minutes on the days allowed. Our area is experiencing extreme demands. If we do not reduce the current rate of water usage, we may experience water shortages in the near future.
Those persons found to be violating water restrictions will be subject to the following penalties:
FIRST OFFENSE - WRITTEN REPRIMAND
SECOND OFFENSE - $250.00 FINE
THIRD OFFENSE -DISCONNECTION OF WATER SERVICE UNTIL FINE IS PAID
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and conservation efforts. We are striving to develop additional water sources to help prevent future water restrictions and provide an adequate water supply for everyone.
